Bradley International Airport Adds Minneapolis Flights with Sun Country; Breeze Airways coming soon
WINDSOR LOCKS, Connecticut – Sun Country Airlines launched its new twice-weekly non-stop service between Bradley International Airport and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport on Friday.
Flights are Mondays and Fridays, departing Bradley at 11:40 am EST, and arriving at 1:40 pm Central time. The return flight departs Minneapolis at 7:30 a.m. CST and arrives in Bradley at 11:05 a.m. ET.
A return ticket sold online Friday for $ 276.
Also on Friday, the Connecticut Airport Authority announced that Bradley will be one of the launch airports for Breeze Airways. New company Breeze has announced that it will begin flying from Bradley to Charleston, South Carolina, starting May 27. Flight to Columbus, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; and Pittsburgh begin July 22.
“These are exciting times for Bradley International Airport and the Connecticut Airport Authority as our state emerges from the pandemic and more and more travelers take flight,” Governor Ned Lamont said in a statement. “Today’s announcement is further recognition that one of our greatest assets as a state and region is Bradley International Airport, and these new destinations allow residents to be connected to new business and tourism travel markets. “
In September, Sun Country Airlines will also launch a new non-stop service from Bradley International Airport in Orlando.
Founded by a small group of pilots and flight attendants in 1983, Sun Country offers non-stop service to over 50 destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. The airline provides services from its Sun Country Charters and Sun Country Vacations divisions, and also operates a freight business.
Bradley has seen its activity drop 63% in 2020 due to COVID-19, but traffic is rebounding.
Still not found his only transatlantic service, an Aer Lingus flight to Dublin.

Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. “While Sun Country Airlines is already familiar with Bradley International Airport from its existing freight and charter operations, we are delighted that it is expanding its presence at the airport with the introduction of passenger service to Minneapolis. We look forward to this strengthened partnership and future line launches with Sun Country Airlines. “
Sun Country flies in a Boeing 737. On the cargo side, it flies for Amazon, which is very present in Bradley.
