DEF LEPPARD celebrates 42 years of On Through The Night; Video streaming

March 14, 1980 marks 42 years since Def Leppard released their debut album, On Through The Night. Check out a video below laying out facts about the album.

Lancashire Telegraph reports that Def Leppard traveled to Burnley, UK, last weekend to film a segment of the upcoming Netflix film, The Bank Of Dave, which will show the life of the self-made millionaire from Burnley. It is not yet known what role Def Leppard will play in the film however, they have confirmed their appearance on social media.

The Netflix film is being shot in David Fishwick’s hometown of Burnley and surrounding areas, with filming having already begun.

Dave will be played on screen by Rory Kinnear and the story will focus on him finding his fortune selling vans and minibuses before opening a bank, Burnley Savings & Loans Ltd, with his right-hand man David Henshaw in the town .

After two late summers, it’s FINALLY happening! The world’s most iconic and famous rock legends will hit the road together this summer for a headlining tour so massive it could only take place in the biggest stadiums in North America.

The stadium tour, featuring Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, along with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, will hit select cities across the United States and Canada where each band will perform their electrifying shows while promising to perform their anthems of the stadium size. Produced by Live Nation, the summer tour is set to tour North America beginning in June 2022.

Due to fan demand, the tour recently added five new stadium shows to the epic ride. Tickets for the new dates are on sale at Def Leppard & Mötley Crüe VIP offers are available.

Def Leppard is one of the most important forces in rock music. In 2019, the icons wrapped up a sold-out world tour that included a run through a North American stadium and headlining the UK’s Download Festival in front of 90,000 screaming fans. The Def Leppard star continues to rise and assert itself. The group has amassed 5.5 billion streams since 2018, reaching a younger demographic of 18-44 that now makes up 58% of its fan base. Additionally, the group has garnered an impressive 15 million followers on their social media platforms. Joan Jett grew up in a time when rock ‘n’ roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager she quickly blew the door to the boys’ club. After forming her band the Blackhearts in 1979, with whom Jett became a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classic “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock”. N’ Roll”, “I Hate Me For Loving You” and “Crimson and Clover”.
