Nikon Professional Services adds two paid tiers to membership options

Nikon Professional Services added two paid tiers on top of the Free Pro plan that add significant additional benefits for working photographers. The two new levels include equipment loans, repair discounts and cleaning services.

Nikon’s free basic Pro subscription includes access to the NPS support hotline, a dedicated NPS representative, prioritization of repairs, free ground shipping for warranty repairs, delivery of priority purchases and access to member-only webinars, launch events and virtual meetings. While useful, working photographers probably demand more.

To accommodate them, Nikon has added Pro + and Platinum + levels which add significant value to the service.

The Pro + plan is “for the hardworking professionals who depend on their equipment daily and like to try out new Nikon equipment before they buy” and costs $ 150 per year. For that price, everything included in the Pro plan is upgraded with five included equipment loans, three free cleanings and checks, 20% off the price of unsecured repairs at New York and New York service centers. California, No Warranty Night Return Fee. repairs, access to lenders for certain repairs, and an enhanced “premium” welcome gift.

The five equipment loans are designed to be used on five imaging products (which include cameras, lenses, flashes and accessories) for special projects, missions or on a “try-before-you-buy” basis. . Shipping is not included.

Pro + members also receive three free Clean & Check services on qualifying Nikon digital cameras and lenses that are registered in their NPS equipment registry at its factory service centers. Again, shipping costs are not included.

The Platinum + plan is described as “the ultimate in professional support and discounts”. It includes all of the benefits of the lower two tiers, but increases the equipment loan amount to 10 items, cleaning service to five items, and the repair discount to 25%. Plus, Platinum + members get 10% off one-time purchases of new Nikon products. Discount does not apply to new or refurbished items, must be purchased from Nikon or an authorized Nikon dealer, and reaches a maximum of $ 300.

Nikon makes sure it’s clear that a camera gear purchase that maximizes the 10% discount would offset the cost of one year of Platinum +.

These levels are only available to Nikon shooters in the US, and these new levels still require members to have a certain amount of Nikon camera equipment (at least two Nikon digital cameras and two Nikkor lenses) and only equipment purchased from authorized Nikon dealers are eligible for membership.

You can register for any of the Nikkon Professional Services levels on the company’s website. here.
