Two minors arrested for drug and firearms trafficking in Pittsfield,


Yesterday, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at around 1:30 p.m., the Pittsfield Police Department received reports that a group of men were in possession of a firearm at a residence on Francis Avenue in Pittsfield.

Arriving patrol officers opened an investigation and determined that 3 men had fled the residence and were engaged in suspicious activity as they walked through neighboring properties.

Shortly after, two young men who matched witnesses’ descriptions were detained by patrol officers. The subsequent search of the area uncovered 2 firearms and illegal narcotics linked to the fleeing youth.

The two suspects were arrested and charged with: 1. Possession to distribute Class B drugs 2. Receiving stolen goods 3. Possession of ammunition without an FID card 4. Possession of large capacity feeder 5. Carrying unlicensed firearm Members of the Pittsfield Police Detective Office, Crime Scene Unit and K9 Unit assisted Patrol in the investigation.

The minors will be brought to justice today by the Berkshire Central Juvenile Court.
